Aeronautics

LDP works mainly on ultralight kit airplanes, also known as Very Light Airplanes (VLA). The JAR-VLA Normative descrbes VLAs such as aeroplanes with a single engine (spark- or compression-ignition) having not more than two seats, with a Maximum Certificated Take-off Weight of not more than 750 kg and a stalling speed in the landing configuration of not more than 45 knots (CAS). The approval to be for day-VFR only.

In its Gallery LDP Aerospace shows a part of some of its more representative activities in this area. In particular, the work carried out for S.G.Aviation, at present one of the most thriving realities in the aviation industry of Italy, is shown in some detail. Finally, other minor activities are briefly ptresented to show the competence of LDP in some of the most complicated engineering problems involving airplane design and analysis.
